Fact# 6423: Your skin is actually an organ.
A Greek doctor has photographed an extremely rare moment during a birth, showing a baby still encased inside the amniotic sac after it has been removed from the mother’s body.
Because the sac had not been punctured, Dr Tsigris said the baby did not even realise it had been born and behaved as if it was still inside the mother’s womb.
The doctor said there was no risk to the baby as it was still feeding off the placenta and would begin to breathe as soon as the sac was broken.
Imagine if we could do this with every baby, we could technically finish developing the mind and whatnot. For those of you that don’t know babies apparently aren’t fully developed when born after 9 months it’s not that they’re ready it’s that a woman’s body can’t hold the baby safely for that long and be healthy. (Or something along those lines I’ve been told, cause I’m sure some self righteous asshole will read this and feel the need to tell me how wrong I am instead of appreciating a good idea and saying oh yea that would be something good or even I don’t agree but I fucking respect his right to share an opinion.)Anyways the human race could potentially explode with knowledge and understanding. Imagine babies, 1 or 2 year olds understanding quantum physics or astronomy, we as it stands use something like 10% of our maximum brain power imagine 100% like just the great minds and tremendous ideas or breakthroughs would be astounding and completely humbling
wow, that is so incredible
Relationshitt on We Heart It
Love when you’re ready, not when you’re lonely.
We all have that friend that is in that unhealthy relationship, and we all know they’re only in that situation, because they’re afraid to be alone. Some of us may even be that friend.
When we think about what feels good NOW vs. what is in our best interest for the long run, instant gratification can be quite the opponent to defeat. Mr. Right might have to take a back seat to Mr. Right-Now, but in the long run, this can be damaging.
It’s just like foods, fasts foods are convenient, taste great, and address our needs immediately. Rushing into relationships with people can have the same effect, and can be just as addictive.
We learn a lot about ourselves when are alone, but for some, the thought of being alone is so scary, that they’re willing to compromise they’re own well-being to avoid it. The issue there is that loneliness can’t be addressed by having other people around, loneliness is a mindset and needs to dealt with from within.
Spend some time with yourself, and put your happiness first, once you get things under control in your own departments, will you be better equipped to share your love with someone else.
The most important relationship we have is with ourselves, it deserves the most attention, and the most effort. Don’t pour yourself into someone else thinking it’s going to fill a void inside you, because it won’t.
Love yourself, then share it with those that deserve it most.
